The radar shows a rain squall approaching.

When slowly increasing the rain or precipitation clutter supression, be careful not to eliminate weak targets.

If you can visually see a vessel, but do not see that vessel's target on the radar, readjust the tuning, gain, and clutter controls.

Note the rain or precipitation clutter suppression effects the whole screen.

You don't want to eliminate all the clutter, just reduce it enough so targets can be distinguished from the clutter.
